Is there anyone that would be able to remember if he ever seen this stamp or initial somewhere ?

I have done research for over a year now, with only one unsuccessful conclusion but probable theory. If no suggestion, any idea or good website about identification ?

Antique Ruler in Wood 3 parts;

  • Metal flat rivets
  • 1/2 Meter, 50 Centimeter
  • In wood composition, graded in Centimeters on both side
  • S & C stamp with a sort of sphynx animal

I would like to, if possible, know exactly where it come from, with a matching stamp and initial picture for references and comparaison.

Thank you very much, have a great evening, Regards, Armand B.enter image description here

    Hi Armand, your question is if someone recognizes the brand? The only reason this may seem on-topic is that it's about a ruler, but I'm afraid this site is not the proper place for asking this kind of question. I can't think of a website that is (except Reddit) but I hope someone else can comment on that. Good luck finding it out!

    I’m voting to close this question because it is about identifying a brand.

  • Hi sir, thanks for the comments. Actually i turned myself to Stack exchange because most of user here are well educated and knowledge is abundant here with lot of fresh mind. I cant really figure where else i could look since as mentionned in my post, research have not been successfull prior coming here with that idea.

    Can you give us more information? Where did you get the ruler (which country)? Is there any indication that the ruler was created for a special purpose like tailoring? Do the segments have an unequal length (that might hint at its purpose)? Are there any inscriptions besides the ones showing in your picture?

    I’m voting to close this question because it might perhaps be best answered by an antiques expert. It is not really a craft / art related question.
