My husband accidentally placed a glass bowl with cured and maybe uncured epoxy resin in the dish washer. When the cycle was done there was no epoxy resin on any of the other dishes. But still, are all of my pots and dishes in the dishwasher now contaminated? Do I need to throw them out?

  • Hi Rah, what kind of glass bowl, what kind of epoxy, where was it placed in the dishwasher, and was there (seemingly) any epoxy missing after the cycle? I assume the top layer (or anywhere the hot water could reach) was cured?

I have put well-cured epoxy in the dishwasher with no problems (temporary repair while waiting for stock of parts). A normal cycle didn't seem to affect it, though a cleaning tablet turned it bright blue and brittle.
