I had problems with "Goof Off", "Goo Gone", and other various products/ideas just smearing the adhesive around rather than removing it. I just tested WD-40 and it worked very well for the label adhesive I was trying to remove. Most of the WD-40 wiped off the surface with a paper towel taking along the (now non-sticky) adhesive. A light soapy water wash cleaned up the rest. | |
